After searching for over three months for the right person to come and help me start youngsters I finally met Chris.
Unfortunately two previous trainers had not has the sensory acuity and subtlety required to work and bond with Lusitanos, a breed renowned for its' sharp intellect and sensitivity, particularly to body language. One gelding in particular had been pronounced "unridable" by one trainer and other professional opinions suggested it would take a long time to heal his wounds. Being a strong advocate of using equine language to communicate with teh horse, I knew that with the right person the healing process would be quick and stress free.
After just three sessions with Chris I was sitting on my calm and content horse with a grin from ear to ear. A huge thanks to Chris from myself and all my babies who have benefited from meeting him. I highly recommend him and sincerely hope that horses from all over the UK get the opportunity to meet him.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Chris; he has helped me to turn my horse around.
I had come to a point where I knew this horse needed professional help, Mr. M (or Mr. Spooky as he was soon called!) is a 5 year old section D with many different issues due to his past treatment. I have since found out that he has had seven homes in five years.
Chris over a number of weeks has turned this horse into a pleasure to work and be around, sorting each issue out from spooking at plastic to now being able to bath him plus lots more! Small steps for some horses, but huge leaps for Mr. M! We also entered our first dressage test the other week and came fourth - something that I never thought we would be doing if you had asked me a few months ago!
I have found Chris to always be very helpful, both on the sessions with Mr. M and email support, always on time and very professional with the training methods used, explaining what the aim of each session was for.
Chris is very down to earth and easy to chat to, this in my opinion also counts for a lot when trying to find the right professional help for your horse.
I have had several people comment on the change in Mr. M. Even my riding instructor can't believe the difference in such a short space of time.
I hacked out today with a friend in gale force winds over open farmland past plastic, lorries and farm machinery and I can honestly say if it wasn't for Chris I know this would have not been possible. I cannot recommend him enough.

We had the distinct privilege in having Chris Morris come and visit with us twice. The first time he came as an intern and the second came back as a friend to visit with us. In the first visit, Chris stayed with us for 3 months and the second stayed for a month. Chris first came to us right after completing the instructional part of his Monty Roberts' Introductory course in Portugal, and then came here to Georgia to get additional "hands on" training with a variety of lesson horses and youngsters in training.
Although his main interest is in training from the ground, he's a competent rider as well (anyone who could hang on to Rya while at Dawson Forest galloping like a madman is more than competent!) His greatest strength is that he's extremely gifted with teaching ground manners, keeping a quiet approach, and working with the horse instead of against him. While he was here, we worked on several spooky and pushy youngsters and he never failed in keeping a cool head and kept after his goal.
Chris is very interested in learning new training aspects, and was always asking questions and seeking answers. His people skills are exceptional, is very reliable, possesses a great work ethic, and is very honest and diligent.
It has been our pleasure having Chris here at our farm, and we'll welcome him back should he decide to visit with us again. If we could afford to move him over here, we'd hire him as an assistant trainer in a heartbeat.

I had the pleasure of working alongside Chris Morris during his internship with Wildewood Farm. I found him to be a person that was very eager to learn everything he could about training horses. We had many discussions on horse behavior and horse training.
Among other projects, Chris and I worked together on starting a young horse under saddle with Chris taking the first ride. We normally don't allow interns to be first up, but the filly was quite attached to him and he had done such a good job with her that we made an exception. His timing, insight, and instincts seem to come naturally to him. We also worked together on gentling the foals that we had on the ground at the time. I found that the horses were able to build a trusting relationship with him quickly.
Chris is a hard working, honest, polite, and punctual person. As Wildewood farm is a lesson and training barn those attributes are necessary for good client relationships. Our students and their families liked him very much. I work closely with each intern that stays with us and I can honestly say he was the best intern I have worked with to date.

I was impressed by Chris' will and dedication to learn to work with horses using these natural horsemanship methods. Although Chris had had a longer break of working with horses whilst he was at University he quickly became very confident and competent in the roundpen, and working outside with a variety of horses. Chris has an extremely high degree of sensitivity and gentleness in working with horses.
